This paper introduces the production material and processing technology for decorative carving technology of the ancient building on Jinzhong area. It analyzes the function of decorative carving technology to the decoration on building. Discussion on the cultural connotation of carving decorative pattern to have a further understanding of the decorative carving technology to the ancient building.
