Eastern and Western Culture differences and Culture Induction In English Teaching Process

语言和文化是紧密相连不可分割的,语言不仅是文化必不可少的一部分,同时还是文化的反映。作为文化的载体,任何一种语言都会有某种文化的烙印。因此,语言教学必须包含文化的学习,语言学习的最终目标是交际能力的培养,让学习者在实际中得体地使用所学的语言。本文的目的是对比中西文化存在的差异,并通过教学实践发现如何培养学生的文化意识和如何将英语教学和文化因素学习有机统一起来。

Language and culture are closely related and cannot be parted. Language is not only a part of the culture, but at the same time, it is also the reflection of the culture. As the carrier of the culture, any language will have some culture marks. Therefore, language teaching must include culture learning. The ultimate aim of language learning is promote the communication ability and make the learners use the language properly and decently. The purpose of this article is to compare the culture differences between eastern and western, and through the teaching, we find how to raise student＇s cultural consciousness and how to integrate the culture learning into our English teaching process.
