摘要
胶黏剂在涂层固化过程中的再分配对涂布纸的涂层结构和印刷适性有着重要的影响,深入研究胶黏剂的迁移机理对于提高涂布纸质量和印刷适性都有着积极的意义。本文考察了涂料固含量对胶黏剂迁移的影响以及胶黏剂迁移对涂层结构(包括胶黏剂分布和孔隙率)和印刷适性的影响。实验结果发现:涂层表面的胶黏剂含量随着固含量的增加而降低,与Ranger的壁面效应作用机理相矛盾;而涂层的油墨吸收性能不仅依赖于孔隙结构,而且依赖于涂层表面的胶黏剂含量,进而影响印刷光泽度。
Binder migration and redistribution during coating consolidation play a key role in determining the structure and performance of coated paper.In this paper,print gloss,ink absorbency and porosity under different coating solid content were measured to investigate the effect of binder migration on the structure and properties of model coatings.The results show that surface carbon content decreases with increasing solid content of the coating suspension,which contradict with the wall boundary effect concept and imply that surface latex enrichment was not induced during coating application.In addition, conventional wisdom considers that ink absorbency is mainly affected by porosity or void fraction of the coatings But it has been found that ink absorption depends not only on porosity,but also on surface binder content,thereby affecting print gloss of the printing
