摘要
为了在嵌入式机器视觉系统中实现ARM处理器S3C2440与DSP处理器TMS320C5402之间的实时数据通信,设计出一种基于主机接口HPI的数据通信方法。阐述了嵌入式机器视觉系统的总体方案,设计了协处理器DSP的HPI接口与ARM主机之间连接的硬件电路,详细描述并分析了HPI的工作原理和各寄存器的作用,给出基于Linux操作系统的驱动程序。实际应用表明,该方法完全能够实现ARM主机实时地读/写DSP处理器内各存储单元的数据,速度可达10 MB/s,满足了嵌入式机器视觉系统的实时性要求。
In order to realize real-time data communication between ARM S3C2440 and DSP TMS320C5402, a desigh method, via HPI interface, is proposed. The embedded machine vision system's overall scheme is introduced, the circuit of hardware interface is designed, HPI work principle and functions of registers are described in detail, and drivers based on Linux operation system are designed. Practical applications prove that the host computer ARM can access all registers of DSP processor and the maximum transmission rate is 10Mbit/s. It can meet the requirements of embedded machine vision systems in real-time.
