Objective:To determine the contents of heavy metals in the root of Anisodus tanguticus samples from three different habitats(cultivated, transplanted, and wild). Methods:To analyze Cd,As,and Hg by atomic fluorescence spectrometry, while Pb by atomic absorption spectrometer. Results:The results show that:contents of As and Hg in cultivated and transplanted Anisodus tanguticus have a significant seasonal variation, while Cd does not.The contents of wild and transplanted Anisodus tanguticus have a positive correlation with each other. Conclusion:The contents of heavy metal elements are much different in the three habitats. With the development of city industry and transportation, due to the pollution, heavy metal elements which are accumulated in the soil will certainly go more into the roots of cultivated plants than the other two.Meanwhile, with higher elevation, contents of all kinds of heavy metal elements decrease.
