摘要
尽管伊莎贝尔.阿切尔的婚姻是失败的,但是从跨文化交际的角度来看,她实现了自我身份认定。通过对这一人物的生动描写和对她在跨文化交际背景下内心不断完善的探索,亨利.詹姆斯向我们展示了跨文化交际的重重艰难,并尝试给出一个合理的文化融合模式。
From the cross-cultural perspective,Isabel achieved her self-identification in the new cultural environment,despite her failure in marriage life.Henry James described the difficulties in cross-cultural communication and suggested a reasonable culture-blending model by the means of depicting this vivid character and discovering her inner completeness in cross-cutural background.
