文化视野下林纾及其译介活动评述

On LIN Shu and his Translation from Cultural Perspective

林纾是我国近代文学翻译史上不懂源语的翻译奇才。当时的文化语境直接影响了林纾翻译题材的选择;而其译介活动则体现了翻译的主体间性,特别是译者的主体性:即顺应当时的文化语境,考虑到读者的接受;林纾的翻译实践促进了中国近代文学的发展,也促进了西方文化的交流。

In Chinese translation history LIN Shu was a great talented translator,who could not understand source language.The cultural context directly influenced his choice of translation material,while translator＇s subjectivity determined his translation thought and strategies,namely,to comply with the cultural context and consider readers＇reception.Lin＇s translation not only helped to develop Chinese modern native literature,but also promote western cultural communication.
