张成材先生的新著《商州方言词汇研究》,收词宏富,释义简明,注重揭示语源信息;在用字方面,以通用规范字为主,兼及"本字"、俗体;虽为词汇研究专著,但为语音、语法研究提供了大量翔实的语料。书中虽有一些细小瑕疵,但仍不失为西北方言研究的一大力作,值得学界关注和研究。

Zhang Chengcai＇s newly published work A Study of Words and Expressions in Shangzhou Dialect,rich in collection of words and expressions of Shangzhou dialect,with explicit interpretation,lays great emphasis on disclosing original lingual information.In terms of wording,it mainly applies the standard Chinese characters,together with ＂Original characters＂ and folk character.Though it is a volume dealing with the study of vocabulary,it provides a great deal of authentic corpus for phonetic and grammatical study.There are some flaws in the book,but it is still a great book in studying northwest dialect and deserves attention.
