This article comprises a comparison of the printing characteristics of Tencel fabrics, which have assumed increasing importance in recent years, together with viscose and cotton fabrics. The agreement and differences are compared via evaluation criteria such as colour yield, levelness, sharpness of contour, handle and fastness and the effect of caustic soda processing after printing with reactive and vat dyestuffs.
