论美国大学校长对名校通识教育改革的推动

被称为"美国心灵的攀登"的通识教育改革运动,极大地促进了美国大学本科教育的进步。其中,以赫钦斯、柯南特以及克尔为代表的不同价值取向的大学校长,为推动通识教育改革的进行与深入做出了卓越的贡献。在我国研究型大学本科教育改革的过程中,应充分发挥大学校长在其中的领导作用,保证本科教育改革的顺利进行,这是美国通识教育改革给予我们的重要启示。

The general education reform movement to be known as the ＂soul of the climb＂ greatly promoted the progress of American undergraduate education.？Among them,Hutchins,Conant,and Kerr,who represented different values of the university president,has made outstanding contributions to promote the conduct of general education and in-depth reform.In the process of education reform of research university,we should give full play to the leading role of university presidents in which to ensure the smooth progress of undergraduate education reform,which is an important enlightenment given by the general education reform of the United States.
