Through the engineering geologic investigation, this paper makes the analysis on the general situation the areal geologic conditions of the engineering of Baiyekou Reservoir in Shanxi Province including its geographic and geomorphic conditions, formation lithology, regional tectonic stability and ground motion parameter, and hydro-geologic conditions, etc.
