In Chinese literature, the period of 17-years before the Cultural Revolution (1949 - 1966) was an era of highly unified ideology. In the period, female voice, distinguished by gender instead of class, could hardly be recognized. Fortunately, in Ru Zhijuan's fictions, female voice, which might be oppressed, distorted or mutated by the mainstream discourse, was unyieldingly expressed to some extent. In the narration, she took advantage of the internal information in the daily narration to broadcast the voice, the grand description to authorize the sense of feminization, or makeup and performance to unconsciously demonstrate the voice.
