从批评语篇分析的视角分析新闻转述引语——以“China Daily”中一则新闻为例

On Speech Reporting From the Perspective of Critical Discourse Analysis

随着大众传媒的迅猛发展,新闻作为信息传播的进行最主要途径已经越来越多地被人们所关注。人们在分析英语新闻语篇时尤其关注新闻转述引语。虽然新闻报道一再强调客观、真实,但是报道者以不为人察觉的方式传递自己的观点,从而影响读者。通过对"China Daily"的一篇英语新闻进行深入的个案研究,从转述方式、转述动词和消息来源等方面考察在新闻转述引语中意识形态如何影响语言的运用,语言如何为意识形态服务,传播并强化特定的意识形态。

With the rapid development of mass media, news attracts increasing attention as a means of transmission. People pay special attention to reported speeches when analyzing news reports. News reports emphasize objectiveness and truth, but the reporter unconsciously conveys his views to influence the readers. This paper makes an in-depth exploration of the reported speeches in an English news report from China Daily. The investigation of reported speeches from the perspectives of modes, sources and reporting verbs reveals that how the ideology affects the language and how the language reflects, transmits and solidifies specific ideology. Thus it proves the feasibility of application of critical discourse analysis in reported speeches.
