On the Status of Equity and Justice among the Characteristics of a Harmonious Society

公平正义是建设社会主义和谐社会的核心价值。从公平正义是解决社会主义初级阶段主要矛盾的现实要求,是社会主义和谐社会中主体需要的价值实现以及是社会主义社会的本质要求等方面,可以看出公平正义在和谐社会六个基本特征中处于基础性的重要层面,对其他本质特征起着支配、规定和约束的作用。

Equity and justice are core value for building a harmonious socialist society. Judged by the fact that equity and justice are the real requirement for resolving the principal contradictions in the primary stage of socialism, the value realization of principal needs in a harmonious socialist society, and the essential requirement of a socialist society, we can see that equity and justice, among the six basic characteristics of a harmonious society, are at the foundational and important level. It dominates, fixes and restricts other essential characteristics.
