浅析李约瑟的“灵魂阶梯”学说

On the Dr. Joseph's Doctrines of the Ladder of Souls

通过比较荀子关于人与万物有别的论述与亚里士多德的灵魂学说之间的异同,分析李约瑟对《刘子》与《蠡海集》中相关文字内容的理解,最后指出李约瑟在其《科学思想史》中所归纳的"灵魂阶梯"学说是不恰当的.借此说明,李约瑟也有错误的时候,对其某些观点进行摘引之时,亦需谨慎.

This paper examines the thought of Hsun Tzu on the differences between the human and the world and Aristotle＇s Theory of soul.By analyzing Dr.Joseph＇s explanation on the content of Liu Tzu and Li Hai Chi,this paper indicates that Dr.Joseph＇s doctrines of the ladder of souls are not appropriate.Since it might happen that Josph made mistakes,we should be cautious when quoting his points of view.
