The unsteady flow field resulted from the interaction between upstream wakes and stator is simulated by an inviscid and a viscous numerical method respectively. Two-dimensional unsteady non-reflecting boundary conditions are implemented at the inlet and outlet of the computational domain to remove the spurious numerical reflection. High-order fluctuations of unsteady lift due to the influence of viscosity are perceived from the comparison between the inviscid and the cooresponding viscous results.The mechanism of wake unsteady decay process and unsteady loss is discussed and manifested through the comparison of the results under several different conditions.
