This paper is aimed to investigate the clinical medication skills of herba asari cum radice（antitussive）,radix bupleuri（antifebrile）,radix aconity lateralis preparata（dispelling cold）,and radix sileris（antidiarrheic）,developed by YAN Bing.YAN Bing has excellent medical skills,quite qualified in prescription and drugs,able to realize symptomatic treatment.He emphasizes on ＂medication＂ during his medical practices.Medication should be based on the traditional prescriptions,but the selection,dosage,usage,and compatibility of the drugs all depend on the specified ＂skills＂.
