With digging depth increasing,the geological structure becomes more complex and pressure greater,which makes the maintenance of roadways more difficult.The paper explains the stress changes in sides,roof and floor of roadways,the location of roadway supports and the features of extending preparation roadways.The paper introduces a successful case about bolt supporting in preparation roadways and points out that the use of bolt supporting is effective,useful,which can bring a good economic benefit.
