《中国近现代史纲要》是高校马克思主义学科体系的重要组成部分之一,旨在引导本科生不仅要了解近代以来中华民族的屈辱史和抗争史,以及新中国建立60余年来所取得的巨大成就,而且要深刻领会中国历史和人民怎样选择了马克思主义,选择了中国共产党,选择了社会主义道路;更注重帮助学生牢固树立"没有共产党就没有新中国"、"只有社会主义才能救中国和发展中国"的信念。因此,《中国近现代史纲要》教学的灵魂就是对学生进行热爱中国共产党、热爱社会主义制度的教育。

＂A Survey of Chinese Modern and Contemporary History＂ is one of the important part in the system of the Marxist subject,its aim is guide the undergraduate student not only to learn the Chinese nation＇s history of resisting and ignominy since 1840,the tremendous achievements which new China has got since its foundation about 60 years ago,but also fully understand Chinese history and how the Chinese people chose Marxism,CCP,and socialist road;it pays more attention to helping the undergraduate student to foster the beliefs＂there would not be new China without CCP＂,＂only socialism can save China and develop China＂.Therefore,the teaching soul＂A Survey of Chinese Modern and Contemporary History＂is to educate the undergraduate student love CCP and the socialist system.
