The successful application of SCADA system in the modern management of the city gas supply pipeline network and safety operation and stable supply of the natural gas transmission pipeline network is described based on the design of Fuzhou Gas Co. city gas pipeline network. Through the RTU control unit the structure and function of SCADA system is analysed, the importance and advance of the system is further described. Practice has proved that when this system is in operation, process automation rate can be more than 95%, the system can meet the centralized monitoring and dispatching management requirements and greatly reduce the labor intensity and cost, and realize the safety production of gas pipeline for a long time to bring huge economic benefit for the enterprise, promote the safety production of city gas pipeline and supply the rapid development of modern management.
