摘要
文章对重庆市长江师范学院183名非英语专业学生进行了英语文化学习的问卷调查,结果显示:受试整体的跨文化交际知识非常欠缺。造成上述现象的深层次原因有:受试学习英语主要是出于现实生活的需要,没有充分认识到英语作为文化交流工具的基本作用;受试跨文化交际的经历普遍较少;大学英语老师在课堂上讲授的英语文化知识的量不够多等。建议英语教师更加重视英语文化的教学,在日常英语教学中增加学生英语文化知识的输入量,加大对英语文化知识的教学力度。
The investigation of 183 non-English majors in Yangtze Normal University in Chongqing reveals that the subjects lack the knowledge of intercultural communication. The deep reasons are : the subjects learn English out of practical needs , and they don ' t fully realize that English is the basic tool for cross-culture communication ; in general , their experiences of intercultural communication are limited ; the knowledge of Western culture the college English teachers presented in class is not enough , and so on. Therefore , college English teachers should add more culture input and strengthen the teaching of English culture.
