企业家人口背景特征与“走出去”进入模式选择——基于中国制造业上市公司的实证研究 被引量:20

Entrepreneur Characteristics and the Choice of "Going-out" Entry Mode:An Empirical Study Based on Chinese Listed Companies in the Manufacturing Industry

摘要 以高阶理论为依据,从管理者的角度研究企业家的人口背景特征对"走出去"进入模式选择的影响。基于中国上市公司制造业样本的实证研究发现,企业家的受教育程度对于进入模式选择的影响较为显著;拥有生产职能背景的企业家更倾向于选择完全控制的进入模式;企业家的任职时间越长,越倾向于选择完全控制的进入模式。本研究对高阶理论在中国具体环境中的应用是一个有益的补充,对上市公司高管的选聘具有一定的启示意义。 This study examines the relationships between the demographic characteristics of entrepreneurs and their choice of "goingout" entry modes. Based on a sample of 262 foreign market entry events of Chinese listed companies in the manufacturing industry,our findings indicate that entrepreneurs with higher education are more likely to opt for full-control entry modes. In addition,entrepreneurs with throughput functional experience favor full-control entry modes. Finally,entrepreneurs with more firm experience prefer fullcontrol entry modes. This study makes a contribution to the application of upper echelons theory in China as well as to the top managers'election in listed companies.
