James Skinner was promoted to CEO(McDonald's) in the late 2004.He is a veteran of the company,and has worked 35 years for McDonald's.He recalled:'Because of spending a lot of time on real estate,we lost the focus of us,and we shifted our view away from the fries.' Because of this shifting focus,McDonald's has been violated the basic business logic before the year 2004.McDonald's President and COO,Ralph Alvarez,51 years old,recalled that during that time,about 20 working days in a month, he had six or seven days spending on real estate,and the company does not take into account of the consumer feeling. At last,many new products could not be promoted.
