这几年,业内对年鉴编纂进行了大量的创新性研究,有些研究是在正确方向上的研究,但有一些是不太切合实际的所谓创新。要把握现阶段中国年鉴出版的正确定位,首先要弄清楚年鉴的性质及年鉴的功能。其功能在于:提供宏观以及相应微观决策资料;提供翔实、全面、权威的国情、地情资料,为经济建设和科学研究提供佐证;为国情教育提供生动具体的教材。而这些特殊功能决定了年鉴读者群的非大众性。因此,地方综合(专业)年鉴只有本着年鉴出版的本质特性,立足地方特色,提高品位和质量,为当地经济建设和社会发展服好务,才是年鉴事业健康持久发展和长期生存的准确定位。

In recent years,industry professionals have conducted a lot of innovative studies on the compilation of yearbook.Some are studies in the right direction,while some so-called innovations are not so practical.To grasp the right positioning of Chinese yearbook publication in the current stage,one needs to understand clearly the nature and functions of yearbook.These functions are:supplying references for macro and micro decision-making,supplying detailed,comprehensive,and authoritative references of national and local information to serve for economic construction and scientific research,and supplying vivid and specific teaching materials for national situation education.These special functions prescribed the unpopular nature of yearbooks' reader group.Therefore,the precise positioning of comprehensive (professional) local yearbooks,which supports the healthy and sustainable development and longevity of the yearbook undertaking,can only be based on local characteristics to upgrade taste and quality and to serve for local economic construction and social development.
