摘要
综述了日本在金属基复合材料方面的研究及应用状况。由于工业界、大学及国立研究机构的共同参与并注重能工业化应用的材料及工艺的研究，使日本在某些复合材料的工业化生产上达到了世界领先水平。在复合材料的基体成分及组织优化、润湿性及凝固特性等基础研究方面也有较多研究成果。
This paper reviews the status of research and application of metal matrix composites in Japan. By coordinating the efforts of industries, universities and national institutes, and focusing on research of applicable materials and processes, Japan has reached a position of leadership in the wrold in the mass production of some metal matrix composites. Much achievements have also been made in the aspects of basic researches on the optimization of matrix compositions and microstructures, wettability, solidification properties, etc..
