从功能主义目的论角度看张译本《德伯家的苔丝》

From the Perspective of Functionalism Teleology to Discuss "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" Translated by Zhang Guruo

翻译批评应该客观、公正和全面。并且应让批评建立在坚实的理论基础上,以使批评理性化。张谷若先生翻译的《德伯家的苔丝》在译界影响颇大。许多学者对该译作贬褒不一。本文拟结合功能主义目的论,从共时和历时两个方面探讨一下该译作的得与失。

Translation criticism should be objective,impartial and comprehensive.And it should be based on a substantial theory in order to make it rational.＂Tess of the D＇Urbervilles＂ translated by Zhang Guruo has caused a great impact in translation filed.Some scholars praised it,but some others denounced it.Combined with functionalism teleology,the gains and losses of this translation work are discussed in this paper from synchronic and diachronic aspects.
