Phatic communion is a kind of language,which has deep social and cultural marks,used to establish and maintain appropriate and harmonious interpersonal relationship.In this paper,the author will summarize the features of phatic communication from the aspects of its contents and principles,then analyze and illustrate the process of phatic communication.
