科学发展的本质就是依据对社会主义社会的发展规律和社会主义建设规律的认识,对我国社会发展道路和发展方式的科学选择。科学发展观所正确反映和科学揭示的社会主义基本规律主要有:社会全面协调发展的规律,社会发展与人的发展相互促进的规律,社会稳定和谐的规律,人与自然协调发展的规律。这些规律也是科学发展必须遵循的基本规律。科学发展观依据社会主义发展和建设的客观规律科学地选择了全面协调可持续发展的发展方式和坚持生产发展、生活富裕、生态良好的文明发展道路。

The nature of scientific development is selecting the right mode and path of social development according to our understanding of the development law and construction law of socialist society.
