Review on Ten Years' Study of Student Loans in School of Education in HUST

华中科技大学教育科学研究院在国内较早系统地以团队形式开展了对学生贷款的研究。10年来该团队取得了一系列的研究成果,培养了几十名研究生,对国内相关政策与实践产生了重要影响,并形成了一定的国际影响力。该领域的研究成果主要体现在三个方面:将成本、学费、学生资助的类型和对象作为学生贷款运行的前提,对这些前提要素进行了系统的研究;把对学生贷款的核心内容研究集中在起点"放贷"、终点"还贷",及中间过程中的"政府责任"上;提出并逐一研究了学生贷款的结果,包括财政收益、社会公平及学生发展。

The team in this school has systematically inquired into student loans scheme in a decade, and has achieved a series of results including more than 100 academic publications, 4 books, 30 graduate students, some influences on government policy and institutional practice domestically and internationally to a certain degree. The main outputs are three as follows. Firstly, researched and had been clear about the presuppositions of student loans operation which are costs, tuition, types of assistances, and criteria on recipients. Secondly, defined and focused on the cores points of student loans scheme which are lending out, repa- ying back and government responsibility in the entire process. Thirdly, proposed and studied on the consequences of running the student loans sachems which are positive effectiveness in finance, social equity and students＇ development. In the end, the article summarizes the contributions of the team to policy references, theoretical findings and practice driving of student loans scheme in China.
