InterContinental Hotels Group, a top global hotel and resorts group, will open an upscale Indigo hotel in Shanghai＇s Bund district at the end of this year. The new hotel will be the first Indigo hotel for InterContinental in the Asia Pacific region, and is expected to help the group expand into the luxury hotel market in China. InterContinental has opened 132 hotels in China and has another 148 hotels under construction. China is the secondlargest market in the world for the hotel group after the United States.
