CXC chemokine receptor 2 is a member of the chemokine receptors, which possesses seven hydrophobic transmembrane domains and expresses on the surface of neutrophils, macrophages, endothelial cells, tumor cells, etc. When CXCR2 binds with its ligands,it will play a role in many patho-physiological conditions, including inflammation, infection, wound healing, and tumorigenesis. The role of CXCR2 in malignant tumors is complex:CXCR2 may participate in tumor growth and metastasis by promoting tumor cell proliferation, migration, angiogenesis or neutrophil infiltration in tumor tissue. In recent years, with the development of tumor-related studies,CXCR2 in the role of tumor angiogenesis have received increasing attention,CXCR2 in the near future may become a new anti-cancer target.
