摘要
缝隙连接(gap junctions,GJ)是由相邻细胞间许多缝隙连接蛋白(connexin,Cx)六聚体组成,为细胞间无机离子、水溶性小分子(<1 ku)、代谢产物提供电和化学交流,从而协调细胞生长和分化的生理过程。动脉粥样硬化形成机制非常复杂,越来越多的研究表明Cx重构参与了动脉粥样硬化形成各过程,该文主要对Cx在动脉粥样硬化形成和防治中的作用作一综述。
Gap junctions,formed by homomeric or heteromeric hexamers that are assembled by same or different kinds of connexins,allow the exchange of inorganic ion,small molecules(1 ku) and metabolites between adjacent cells,thus providing a mechanism for synchronizing the responses of groups of cells to environmental electrical and chemical stimuli,and coordinating physiological processes of cell growth and differentiation.The mechanism of atherosclerosis formation is relatively complex. There has been increasing amount of evidence indicating that the remodelling of gap junction connexin is involved in the formation of atherosclerotic process.Here,we review the role of gap junction connexin in the formation,precaution and treatment of atherosclerosis.
