On the Popularization of Confucianism in Japanese Society during the Edo-Period

日本的江户时期(公元1613～1867年)适逢儒学盛极一时,在幕府的大力扶持下,儒学思想在日本不仅上升为官学,更迅速渗透到日本普通民众中间,深深地影响着日本社会的方方面面。作者试通过考察儒学在日本民间的传播和普及来剖析儒学如何被日本普通民众所接受,并在日本社会深深扎根下来。

Confucianism found its growing popularity in Japan during the Edo-period（1613-1867）.With the strong support of Shogunate,Confucianism not only became the official teaching,but also permeated into the Japanese populace and thus had a profound influence on various sides of Japanese society.Through researches of the propagation and popularization of Confucianism in Japanese society,the author tries to analyze how it was accepted by the populace and rooted in this society.
