语言的模糊性普遍存在。英语作为世界上使用最广的语言之一,其模糊限制语具有提高语言表达的效率、体现说话人文明修养、实现说话人的自我保护、增加语言的艺术表现力和审美共鸣等语用功能。
Fuzziness of language is prevailing.As one of the most widely used languages,English’s hedges has pragmatic functions： improving the efficiency of language expression,reflecting civilization accomplishment of the speaker,realizing the speaker＇s self-protection,increasing the artistic expression of the language and aesthetic resonance.
