Based on the human realistic and his history,Labriola has made anti-positivism and historical explanation to historical materialism.He considers that the starting point of historical materialism is the realistic person and his social life.As a whole,the foundation of our history is the forming and transformation process of our society.The human has transformed himself and created his history and the artificial environment through his own practice.Labriola has basically grasped the spiritual essence of Marx′s historical materialism.To a certain extent,he has surmounted other Marxists at his time on the understanding of historical materialism,and also paved the way for the development of the western Marxism.
