英汉“嫉妒”情感隐喻的体验哲学和文化阐释

Experiential Philosophy and Cultural Elaboration of the Universality and Variation between English and Chinese "Envy" Emotion Metaphors

情感是人类经验的重要组成部分。通常人们通过自身的体验,以隐喻来表达抽象的情感。为进一步了解情感隐喻的实质,本文主要从认知语言学的角度,根据Lakoff&Johnson的概念隐喻理论、体验哲学和K?vecses的文化模型理论,以"嫉妒"情感隐喻表达作研究对象,对英汉两种日常语言中的有关"嫉妒"的情感隐喻进行了系统的对比和分析,论述了英汉两种语言中有关嫉妒的情感隐喻的普遍性与差异性及其构建的体验基础和文化背景。

Emotions are one of the most central and pervasive aspects of human experience.Abstract emotions are usually conceptualized through metaphors.In order to better understand the essence of emotional metaphors,this paper,based on the Conceptual Metaphor Theory and experiential philosophy by Lakoff Johnson and Cultural Model Theory put forward by K？vecses,tentatively analyzes the universality and variations between the conceptual metaphors of the emotion of ＂envy＂ in English and Chinese as well as elaborates on their underlying experien-tial philosophical fundamentals and cultural models.
