With rapid growth of economy and technology, and resources available taken into consideration, college libraries are making great efforts to set up digital libraries highlighting those cutting-edge programs of their colleges to improve and enrich digital resources in libraries. Taking New ＆ Hi-Tech Enterprises Database developed by Shenzhen Polytechnic as an example, this paper discussed background, principles for information collection, design skills, content and structure of the database. Besides, the application prospects of the database are elaborated to give a general picture of the contents and functions of the database.
