The article compares a great deal of popular songs with classical poetry and discovers that the pop song absorbs nutrients from the classical poetry to enrich its contents, emotions and artistic conception. Meanwhile, as pop song is extensively sung, more and more people have felt the charm of the classical poetry. A new way of spreading the classical poetry is contributed. Therefore, pop song and classical poetry can coexist harmoniously. Classical poetry influences a great deal of excellent pop songs with its profoundness, while pop songs contribute to the promotion and heritage of the classical poetry.
