中英色彩词汇刍议

色彩是一种客观存在的事物。中英两种语境中,色彩词汇的本体意义基本上是相通的,也就是说色彩词汇的使用,有其共同之处。但是由于汉英两个民族地理环境、历史背景、思维方式、语言习惯和传统风俗等的不同,导致了中英两种语境中色彩的比喻意义、联想意义以及文化意象的差异,甚至语义相反的情况。本文以红、白、黑、绿四种色彩词汇为例进行详细阐述。

Color is an objective reality.In Chinense and English ,the1 original meanings of color words are not much different. That is to say,the associating meaning of color has its common points.However,because of the difference in geographical conditions,conception of history,ways of thinking,customs,and nationalism,color words are too far apart and inevitably endowed with its culture. Therefore,the associating meaning of color words has great different result of reflection from one field to another.Following precedents of red,white,black,and green,this text expounds and proves.
