学者对阶级这一范畴的研究始于17世纪资本主义时期,由于历史和阶级的局限均未能对阶级产生的历史过程和经济根源作出全面科学的概括和解释。马克思和恩格斯第一次科学地分析了阶级的历史起源、产生根源等问题,揭示了阶级的本质,最终指出无产阶级是推翻资本主义、摧毁一切奴役制度、实现全人类最终解放的伟大力量。马恩阶级理论作为马克思主义的基础理论之一,是历史唯物主义的重要组成部分。

The research of class category was initiated in the 1970s.The limitation of history and class could not make comprehensive and scientific generalization and explanation to historical process and economic source of class. Marx and Engels scientifically analyzed historical source and roots of class for the first time,and uncover the essence of class ,as well as point out that proletariat is great power to overturn capitalism and slave system ,and achieve the liberation of mankind.As one of Marxist basic theory ,Marx and Engels＇ class theory is an important component of historical materialism.
