金属硫蛋白（ＭＴ）是一类富含半胱氨酸的低分子量结合蛋白。近年来许多有关ＭＴ的研究表明ＭＴ在肿瘤的发生和治疗过程中起一定的作用，倍受科研人员和临床医生的关注。此方面的研究主要包括：１．ＭＴ减轻抗肿瘤药物毒副作用的可能性研究；２．ＭＴ在癌症发生中的作用；３．ＭＴ与癌细胞获得性抗药性的关系。
