The paper introduces the development of large-span and cable-stayed spatial structure in China and its characteristics, and researches the problems of the large-span spatial structure from the design theory, the stability, the wind vibration, and anti-earthquake property, so as to provide the direction for the performance analysis of the large-span and cable-stayed spatial structure, enhance the development of the civil engi- neering science.
