英汉动物隐喻的句法特征的对比分析

A Comparative Study on the Syntactic Features of English and Chinese Animal Metaphors

本文基于大量语料从句法角度系统地对比考察了英汉动物隐喻的句法结构及特征。研究结果显示:英汉两种语言的隐喻句法结构大致相似,然而也存在着一些细节上的差异。本文通过对比分析英汉两种语言动物隐喻的句法特征,探讨了这两种语言动物隐喻形成的句法规律,验证了束定芳先生所提出名词性隐喻、动词性隐喻、形容词性隐喻、副词性隐喻同样存在于动物隐喻中,但笔者发现有些动物习语隐喻不能被归结到如上四种隐喻中,从而笔者提出了整句投射隐喻来概括此类隐喻的句法特征。

From the syntactic perspective,this article analyzes and compares the syntactic features of English and Chinese animal metaphors.The findings of this study indicate that there are many similarities between English and Chinese;however,there are still some differences on details.In this article,the author tries to explore the syntactic rules of the formation of English and Chinese animal metaphors,thus verify that the four kinds of metaphors by Mr.Shu Dingfang,that is,noun metaphor,verbal metaphors,adjectival metaphors and adverbial metaphors.But there are some idioms which can＇t be attributed in the above fours kinds of metaphors;therefore I propose that we can conclude this kind of metaphor as sentential metaphors.
