广交会实训中的“非标准英语模因”及其教学启示

NSEM in the Canton Fair and Its Enlightenment in Business English Teaching

任何个体所说的标准地道的英语之外的其他英语变体称为"非标准英语模因(NSEM)"。NSEM在国际交流中的地位越来越重要,而国内精通NSEM的人才却相当匮乏,应当引起关注。文章以广交会实训为切入点,对NSEM的概念、表现形式及发展趋势进行了详细探讨,并指出其对商务英语教学的启示在于:商务英语交际能力要向全面综合的交际能力转变,商务口语类课程考核标准需改变,要为商务英语专业学生创造NSEM的接触机会,从而让学生获得全面综合的交际能力,以适应将来的商务工作。

Non-Standard English Meme （NSEM） is any variants of English spoken by any individual except British English and American English.NSEM is increasingly important in international communication;however,there are not enough talents who can deal with it adequately in China.In order to cultivate talents who can fit with NSEM and deal with the business work smoothly,this paper analyzes NSEM by taking examples from the Canton Fair,and provides certain enlightenment in business English teaching,including the diversion from communicative competence to comprehensive communicative competence in business English teaching,the improvements on the criterion of spoken-business-English-related courses,and the provision of opportunities for the students to practice NSEM.
