In this paper, the author provides an overview of Hubei Higher Vocational Education, including its current scopes, trends and regulations. The overview analyzes various aspects of the higher vocational education system, including social and educational demands, disciplines, textbooks, course designs and regional needs. The overview could serve as a basis for exploring a viable ap- proach for future Hubei Higher Vocational Education development.
