Overseas Students in Japan from Jiaying in Last Qing Dynasty to the Early Min—Guo Period

清末民初,嘉应州大批学子赴日留学。在留学过程中,他们接受并开始传播资产阶级民主革命思想。回国后,他们不仅积极投身革命,还从事近代教育,对家乡乃至中国近代化产生了重要影响。

From the last Qing Dynasty to the Early Min--Guo, a large number of students of Jiaying went to Japan to study. In process of studying abroad, they accepted and started to disseminate the Bourgeois democratic revolution Thoughts. After returning to homeland, they not only joined in the revolution, but also joined in the education posi- tively. They have had the material effect on the hometown and even Chinese modernizing.
