Nowadays, Geographical Information System （GIS） has widely been applied in social activities and cam- pus informationization and so on. As the foundation of campus informationization, university libraries can use GIS technology to improve management and service levels in the course of informationization. The concept and connota- tion of university library GIS is expounded, and the system requirement analysis of library GIS of Jiaying University is performed basing on the software engineering method. This will help design and construct an applicable college library GIS of Jiaying University.
