摘要
通过解读加拿大著名女作家玛格特.劳伦斯的短篇小说《潜水鸟》,着力探讨《潜水鸟》的象征意蕴,并总结和归纳女主人公——印第安女孩皮格特短暂一生过程中所表现出的迷茫、寻觅、无奈、幻灭和死亡的悲剧根源。
The famous short novel written by Canadian writer Margaret Laurence ＂the loons＂ was discussed,explored the symbolic significance and the plights of Piquette Tonnerre——a half Indian girl who grew up under harsh circumstances in a society that suppressed half-breeds.
