The prominent role and remarkable achievements of landscape design in the construction of low-carbon and ecological city were analyzed in the context of global environmental issues.The study stressed that landscape architecture,a multi-disciplinary dealing with the relationship between human and land,will play an important role in the construction of ecological city and low-carbon and sustainable development.Then a variety approaches of landscape design to the construction of low-carbon and ecological city were illustrated.
