佛塔是佛教文化的产物,也是佛教文化的载体。佛塔随佛教自印度传入中国之后,与中国传统建筑文化相结合,在规模和形式上发生根本改变,出现了许多新形式、新功能。佛塔的兴盛与我国传统文化有密切的关系,分析佛塔在中国的变化,对于了解中国佛塔建筑的文化特征有积极意义。

Buddha pagoda is the product and the carrier of Buddhist Culture. After Buddhism being introduced from India to China ,Buddha pagoda has changed ultimately in scopes and structures,and many new design and functions emerged. The flourish of Buddha pagoda has close relationship with the development of traditional culture. The paper analyzes the evolution of Buddha pagoda in China. It is of significance to understand the features of Chinese Buddha pagoda buildings.
